The Cloud People
Jamie
Jamie has a background in aerospace engineering, which has absolutely no relevance to travel blog writing. He spent a year volunteer teaching in Honduras in 2005-2006, where his initial love for Central America began. He felt the need to return, and eventually did in 2008-2009. Whilst nursing a dislocated knee-cap from a limbo related accident in Guatemala, he met Jess. Jamie enjoys all things art. Painting and drawing are his favoured mediums, and he will be posting some of his work from time to time.
Jess
Jess is our number 1 blog photographer. Whilst earning her degree in Anthropology, Jess developed a deep and passionate affair with photography, and hasn’t looked back since. Her unique perspective, and love of museums, is gained from her background in Mesoamerican archaeology and anthropology. In addition, Jess has lived and worked in Guatemala off and on over a span of three years, thus fueling a passion for Central America and its people. Ethical treatment of animals is something extremely important to her, and is why many of our blog entries will be focused on related issues.
Summer Intern Erin
Jess’ youngest sister has joined us on this leg of our journey before she begins college in late August.
Erin is a passionate vegan. Her resolve will truly be tested here in meat and cheese loving Mexico.
Erin has a particular talent in tripping over everything she sees. She also enjoys talking shit. That’s why we are living by the code ‘talk shit, get hit’.
